Activity Overview

The cardiovascular team is an intricate part of any successful CV care setting, care givers must be up to date on the latest therapies and technologies.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for an audience of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who treat and manage cardiovascular diseases.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

    • Assessing how congenital heart disease impacts pregnancy.
    • Defining the issues that impact women in the field of cardiology and how the issues influence the care setting.
    • Evaluate recent trials and their results in order to distinguish applicability to the care setting.
    • Interpret the expanding indications for TAVR, evaluating the possible outcomes.
    • Assess the new therapies for treatment of HCM.
    • Analyze how the changes in the cardiovascular care model will influence the care setting.
    • Assess new digital devices for Afib and determine if they are appropriate.
    • Recognize the emerging field of cardiogenetics and identify patient care continuums.
    • Explain the overlap between cardiology and oncology and assess best practices.
    • Demonstrate understanding of challenges in congenital heart disease of long-term care solutions.
    • Evaluate recent trials and their results in order to distinguish applicability to the care setting.
    • Evaluate research presentations in order to distinguish applicability to the care setting.
    • Explain the newest advances in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
    • Recognize genetic arrhythmic syndrome.

Criteria for Success

Certificates of completion will be awarded based on the participant's attendance.  A certificate of completion will be available upon completion of an online evaluation/claim credit form available at:
