The American College of Cardiology strategic plan aims to position the college and its members to achieve ACC’s mission to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health for all. As part of the plan, a very important aspect is to nurture skills beyond clinical; career development is paramount from the early stages of our careers, as early as fellowship training to be able to execute a bigger impact within the college and beyond. To support the fellow experience through teaching faculty development skills focused in effective leadership and soft skills. The Florida Chapter ACC Leadership Academy is designed to nurture and support skills 'beyond the clinic.’ As FITs grow in their care giving abilities they should also gain the non-clinical skills that will accelerate their career development. Join us for a 10- lecture series that presents topics that will help a career at its inception and give insights into career paths and how to acquire the skills needed to succeed. In order to obtain a certificate from the Florida Chapter, American College of Cardiology participants must attend (live on Zoom) at least 70% of the lectures. Sessions are recorded. Florida Chapter members will be given preference in registration but other ACC chapter members may apply. |
