CV Team

Dear CVTeam Members:
My name is Tamarah Jungklaus; I am honored to be your new CVT Liaison for the Florida Chapter of the ACC. I have been practicing in Cardiology for 17 years as an APRN and I have over 40 years of nursing experience. I work at the VAMC in Gainesville, FL, and am a member of the Heart Failure Team. I have been a member of the ACC since 2003 and received AACC designation in 2011.
We have many exciting opportunities this year, including our FCACC Annual Meeting scheduled August 16-18, 2019 at the Grand Floridian at the Walt Disney Resort in Orlando, Florida. On Friday the 16th, there is a CVTeam Reception which will be a wonderful opportunity to meet one another and network. I am also happy to say we will be continuing the CVT breakout session highlighting our best case presentations which has been a huge success over the past two years. The case winner will receive a $250 American Express Gift Card with the runners-up each receiving a $50 American Express Gift Card. Each person who has a case selected to present will also receive a ticket to the President’s Celebration where they will be recognized. Additional information for the meeting is here and for the CVTeam Case Competition, here.

We are always looking for ways to improve communications, increase outreach for membership, and help the CV Team members of the FCACC to improve professionally and advance in their cardiovascular careers. There are plenty of opportunities for CV Team members to be involved in chapter activities. CV Team members are welcome to all events and are encouraged to volunteer. Fill out this form so we can add you to a committee. I hope to see you at our Annual Chapter Meeting or at the ACC Annual Scientific Session next March in Chicago. If you have questions, concerns, or want to know how to become more involved please email me at

Ways to Get Involved

There are plenty of opportunities for CVTeam members to be involved in chapter activities. The chapter leadership is dedicated to bringing CV Team member benefits and participation at the chapter level. CVTeam members are welcome to all events and are encouraged to volunteer (email to get involved).

This is a new way to get involved with your local colleagues for education, networking and exploring other opportunities such as mentoring. We held our first local section meeting in Gainesville in November and it was a huge success; so far we have volunteers in several other locations throughout the state. Look for an email invite.
If you have an interest in serving on a committee or being more involved please complete this form
