The Florida Chapter of the American College of Cardiology is pleased to share an educational resource developed by the California Chapter of the American College of Cardiology focused on video-enhanced cardiovascular screening for athletes. This collection includes short, evidence-based videos designed to augment the pre-participation history and physical by helping athletes better understand key symptoms such as chest pain, syncope, and exertional intolerance—thereby improving the sensitivity of traditional screening tools. These materials were created by national experts in sports cardiology and supported by peer-reviewed research, offering a practical and scalable approach to athlete screening that may be relevant to clinicians, programs, and policymakers in Florida.
